Fun with cousins...

SANTA CAME!

We had such a fun Christmas. It was so cute to watch Jonah. He was super excited about everything he got. He loved the 6 dollar Ninja Turtle we got him from Wal-Mart more than the Wii that we bought, but that's ok! Watching your kids be so excited on Christmas is the best!

The Kids and Santa!

Definitely not the best picture of the kids, but oh well! I always feel so rushed whenever we go see Santa--- I just throw the kids on his lap and hurry to take a picture, no wonder they never turn out. Hopefully we'll get to see Santa again before Christmas.

I thought the kids looked so cute before church yesterday, so I tried to get some pictures... it didn't go so well. Josie was in a bad mood and Jonah was trying to be silly. Maybe next Sunday I'll try again!

I've been tagged by Diana... this is gonna be hard! I hope I can think of 6 things about myself... lets see...

1- I love candy. I eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I know it's not healthy, but it is so good. I have a cabinet in my kitchen dedicated just for candy, and it's always full. Mark hates it!

2- My Mom is one of my very best friends. I love to hang out with her. We have never had an argument... I can't even remember arguing with her when I was a teenager! She has never said anything to me that has hurt my feelings, and I hope she can say the same about me. I don't know what I would do without her. When I was on my honeymoon, I had to call her because the lotion that I brought reminded me of her and I was homesick! One word that sums her up is "loyal". I know I can tell her anything. I love my mom.


3- I am obsessed with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Yes, I know that the show ended a few months ago, but I have it recorded and I still watch it all the time.

4- I live in my pajamas. I am honestly always in comfy clothes until I have to leave the house. The first thing I do when I walk in my house is put sweats on. If I'm ever wearing jeans in the house, Jonah says, "are we going to the store?"

5- I'm a huge fan of the musical "Wicked". It sounds nerdy, but it is so awesome. I listen to the soundtrack all the time and have the whole thing memorized! Last July we got to go see it when we were in Chicago. I cried during the intermission and when it was over, because I loved it so much. I wish that I could sing and dance like that! I think I'm going to see it again in in L.A. this spring.

6- I love being a mom- Every night when I say my prayers I can't believe how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband, who does so many sweet things for me, and 2 healthy, cute kids that I love more than anything. Being a mom is so hard, but it is so worth it.

Sister's Shopping Spree

Every year, we have a fun shopping spree with all of my sisters, my Mom, my Aunt, and my cousins. We always go somewhere yummy to eat, we have a fun pajama party and give each other presents, we do a lot of Christmas shopping, and we laugh and laugh! We shop for 2 days straight and have the best time together!

Bowling for Family Night

Last night we went bowling for Family Home Evening. I actually hate bowling- I think it's because I used to get so bored watching Mark play when we were in high school, and he was in a bowling league with some friends. Anyway, Jonah had a blast. On the way home Mark was teasing him and saying "I beat you." Then Jonah said, "well, I beat Mom!" It's true! My 3 year old beat me at bowling. We had fun just hanging out with our little family.

Petting Zoo

We went to petting zoo at Gardner Village last week with some friends. The weather wasn't very good, but Jonah had fun anyway. Josie just stayed in her stroller under a blanket the whole time so the rain wouldn't get her. It was still a fun day!

HALLOWEEN TIME!

Jonah and Josie got all dressed up to go to a Halloween party with Mark's parents last night. Jonah is Wolverine from X-Men and Josie is a little Pumpkin Princess. Jonah has been living in his costume. He even slept in in the first night we got it! He loves pretending that he's the "real" Wolverine, and he calls me "Lindsey" instead of "Mom". It's cute!

Snow already?

Jonah and Mark had a good time playing in the snow. Jonah made his first snowman, and was devastated when we came home from church the next day and it was starting to melt. He managed to force a smile long enough for me to take his picture with his little snowman friend.

We had a great time at the zoo. Jonah loved all the animals, and Josie loved being outside. We got there way early so there was nobody there and we practically had the whole zoo to ourselves! It was a really fun day.

We went to Chicago over the summer for a Family Reunion. We had so much fun! We got to see "Wicked", Mark went to a Cubs game, Jonah had fun at a splash park, Josie and I shopped and shopped, we watched the Nauvoo Pagent, and learned a lot about our ancestors. It was such a fun trip.
