My Dad Rocks!

Last weekend I ran the Salt Lake Half Marathon with my Dad and my brother, Phil. Phil is amazing, and beat me again. It drives me nuts because he barely even trains for these, and I feel like I kill myself training, and he still beats me! He's such a positive person, so it's fun to run with him because he's just so darn nice!
My Dad did really good! He's ran a few marathons years ago, and decided that this would be his last race. HE DID AWESOME! He is 61 years old--- and his time was great, and he even ran the whole thing with a giant blister. I love my Dad so much, and I am so proud of him for doing this.

There are only a few things that Josie will eat. Apple Jacks, Goldfish crackers, candy, pizza, and macaroni. I think she was getting a little bored with her diet so she decided to add 2 more things... salsa, and the cheese from inside cracker sandwiches.

APRIL 17, 2009
My baby girl is 2. I just can't even believe it. When I was pregnant and went to my ultrasound to find out what I was having, I started to cry when I found out that I was going to have the little baby girl that I always wanted. I wanted a little baby girl that I could dress up cute. I wanted to be able to do piggie tails in her hair, I wanted her to want me all the time, and I wanted her to be my little best friend. Josie is everything that I could have ever dreamed of. I complain about her drama a lot, but really, I love it. She is my little sweetie and I love her more than I could have ever imagined. She definitely brings something special to our family. Happy Birthday Josie girl.

Happy Easter!

There hasn't been much to blog about lately... that's why I like holidays. I'm always sure that I can make a post about a holiday! Our Easter was fun- the kids liked their easter "buckets" and the easter bunny managed to hide a few eggs in our back yard. We finished the day off by going to a park, and on a Sunday drive.

Road Trip

Last week my sister Gina and I went on an awesome road trip! We started out with her 2 girls, Annie and Megan, and headed to Boise where we saw David Archuleta's concert at The Knitting Factory. It was so fun because it was really small, only 1000 people. We waited for about 5 hours before he performed... moving from one line to anther. That part was annoying... but the concert made it all worth it. We had so much fun dancing and singing- I hope my little nieces weren't too embarrassed to be with us! My sister Gina is so fun to be around. I love her so much!

After being in the car 5 hours on Saturday, and 5 hours on Sunday, we still had more to talk about and wanted some more fun! So we picked up Jonah and Josie, and her 3 boys, and headed down to St. George on Monday! The kids had so much fun... and the bonus... Gina and I went to another David Archuleta concert in St. George! This one was way more mellow, but we still had a great time! I'm so lucky to have such a fun sister. Geenz, you really are one of my very best friends and I love you a lot. I'm glad we stick together!

Boise!
Josie would get a little bit worried if Taylor tried to touch her, look at her, say something to her, take something from her, or even if he was breathing on her. I think they'll be friends some day, but for now, her favorite thing to say is "NO NO TAY TAY!"
6th Row baby! Am I a dork for being so excited?

Fiesta Fun! This place was pretty ghetto, but the kids liked it!

Jonah and his best buddies, Alex and Zach

Josie liked watching the boys play air hockey. I had to take this picture because I thought it was cute that she was standing on her tippy toes!

Is it Spring yet???

In honor of it getting warmer outside, I decided to post my LAST winter picture for this year. No more snow, please. Now it's time for lots of sunny, hot, relaxing by the pool pictures!

No more trying to entertain my kids inside all day. It's too much work! Look what a little chocolate chip cookie does Josie! And she was only done with half of the cookie! Bring on the warm weather!

By the way, I do know that it's supposed to get colder and rain on Sunday... I'm just trying to think positive.

DiSnEy wOrLd! ---And Happy Birthday Jonah!

We just got back from visiting Jonathan and Bree in Florida last week, and we had SO MUCH FUN! We decided to plan the trip around Jonah's birthday so it would be a fun surprise for him. I packed up the car without him knowing, and last week we hopped in the car and drove to the airport. He really had no idea what was going on until we got to the airport and he said "hey, I know where we're at!" We gave him a map of Disney World and he was so surprised. He said "I'm so excited I think I'm going to explode!" It was so fun to hang out with Jonathan and Bree, and their sweet little Addi. We miss having them so close :( Bree did an awesome job and showing us the best places to eat- we missed having her the last 2 days of our vacation! She was the best little tour guide ever! We really had such a great trip--- and the best part of it is we get to go back in 2 months with Mark's family this time!!!Starting the trip off with some fun in the play place at the Airport!
Jonah got a special pin to wear on his "actual" birthday at the Magic Kingdom. They also gave him a $65 gift card to spend there too! He was so sweet and bought Josie a princess sippy cup and her own Pez dispenser, he bought Mark some caramel corn, me some taffy, and still had enough to buy a playstation game, a DS game, some candy, and a Toy Story gun!

Josie kept saying "mama, cheeeeeese" and wanted me to take her picture.

another "cheeeese" from Jos

This is pretty much how Josie felt around all of the characters. It got old pretty fast.

Jonah LOVED to hug all the characters.

Josie's face in this one sums up her feelings about our "breakfast with the characters"!

Cheetos were a life saver on multiple occations throughout our vacation!

Our boat ride around Downtown Disney with the Stevens fam

Josie thought that the life jacket didn't go very well with her outfit, so she was pretty upset.

Checkin out the map to see where to go next!!!

Once again, the cheese face!

Jonathan and Bree, thanks so much for such an awesome vacation. We loved it and can't wait to see you guys again!
